Privacy Policy
What we collect, who else receives it, and how long we keep it. Written plainly, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.
The short version
This website does not track you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no advertising pixels. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to type into our contact form. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for marketing.
Who we are
Lot 9 LLC is a Colorado limited liability company based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We resell IT hardware and software, communications and radio equipment, and medical equipment, primarily to United States federal agencies. This policy covers lot9llc.com.
We do not publish an email address or phone number on this site, deliberately, to keep them away from automated harvesting. To reach us about anything in this policy, including a request to see, correct, or delete your information, use our contact form and write "Privacy" in your message. It goes directly to the owner of the business.
What we collect
Information you give us
Our contact form asks for the following. Only the first, third, and fifth are required.
- Name
- Agency or organization
- Email address
- Solicitation number. This is a public government identifier, not information about you.
- Your message. A free-text field. Please see the warning below about what not to put in it.
Information collected automatically
We do not run analytics, so we do not build any profile of you. However, three services involved in delivering this site receive technical data as an ordinary part of how the web works:
- GitHub hosts this site and logs request data, including your IP address, when a page loads.
- Google receives your IP address and request metadata when your browser loads the fonts this site uses.
- Web3Forms receives your IP address, a timestamp, and referrer information when you submit the contact form.
What we do not do
Every line here is a statement of fact about how this site is actually built, not a promise about the future. If any of it changes, this policy changes with it.
- This site sets no cookies.
- We run no analytics. No Google Analytics, no tag manager, no Meta pixel, no heatmaps, no session recording.
- We use no advertising or tracking pixels of any kind.
- We use no browser storage, meaning no localStorage and no sessionStorage.
- There are no user accounts and no login.
- We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never have.
- We do no profiling and no automated decision-making.
- We do not send marketing email. If you get an email from us, it is because you wrote to us first, or because we are responding to a solicitation.
Why we use your information
Only to respond to you, to prepare a quote or a bid response, and to keep an ordinary business record of the exchange. That is the entire list.
Who else receives your information
We want to be specific here rather than saying "trusted partners," because the detail is the point.
Web3Forms
Our contact form is processed by Web3Forms, a product of Web3Creative, which operates from India. When you submit the form, Web3Forms receives everything you typed plus your IP address, and forwards it to our inbox.
Two details worth knowing, because they are not obvious:
- Web3Forms retains submission data for up to three years, stored encrypted at rest on Amazon Web Services, after which it is deleted automatically.
- Web3Forms uses CleanTalk and Akismet for spam filtering, and those two services receive the submitter's IP address and email address.
Web3Forms also relies on Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare, and Hetzner for infrastructure. In data protection terms, Lot 9 LLC is the controller and Web3Forms is a processor acting on our behalf. You can read their privacy policy directly.
GitHub
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub receives and logs standard server request data, including IP addresses.
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address on each page load. Google states that the Fonts service does not set cookies. We are working toward serving these files ourselves, which will remove Google from this list.
Our email provider
Your inquiry arrives as an email and is stored in our mailbox like any other business correspondence.
How long we keep it
- At Web3Forms: up to three years from submission, then automatic deletion.
- In our email: for the duration of the business relationship and for as long as we may need it for federal contracting records, then deleted. If you ask us to delete your inquiry sooner, we will, unless a contract or law requires us to keep it.
Please do not send sensitive information through this form
The contact form is convenient, but it is not a secure or confidential channel. Please do not use it to send classified information, controlled unclassified information (CUI), export-controlled technical data, source selection information, protected health information, Social Security numbers, or personal information about anyone other than yourself. If your requirement involves any of that, send us a short note saying so and we will arrange an appropriate channel before you send anything.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS on every page, and HTTPS is enforced. No personal data is stored on the website itself, because the site is a set of static files with no database. Inquiries reach a mailbox that only the owner accesses. We do not claim any system is immune from compromise, and we would rather tell you what we actually do than advertise a guarantee nobody can make.
Your choices
Whatever state or country you live in, you may ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. We do not require you to prove you live somewhere particular before we honor that. Write to us through the contact form with "Privacy" in the message and we will respond within 30 days.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. This site performs no tracking of any kind, across this site or any other, so there is nothing for that signal to switch off. We treat every visitor as though Do Not Track were enabled, because functionally it always is.
Tracking across other websites
No third party collects personally identifiable information about your activity across different websites through this site. We permit no such collection.
Children
This site is meant for government buyers and business partners. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date and the version number at the top of this page. Material changes will be summarized here for at least 30 days. We will never apply a change retroactively to information already collected under an earlier version.
Questions
Use the contact form and write "Privacy" in your message. For formal legal notice, our registered agent of record for Lot 9 LLC is listed in the Colorado Secretary of State business database, which is the authoritative address for that purpose.
